Profile

Janek Richter is a research fellow at the Chair for Information Systems and Systems Development (Prof. Jan Recker) since April 2018. Previously, he worked as a Doctoral Researcher and Teaching Assistant under the supervision of Prof. Werner Mellis at the Department for Information Systems and Systems Development at the University of Cologne. He received his doctoral degree and graduated with a Diploma in Information Systems (Diplom Wirtschaftsinformatik) at the University of Cologne. He studied abroad at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabadand and spent a research stay at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, India.

His work has been published in journals such as the European Journal of Information Systems (EJIS) and international conferences such as the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS), American Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS), and Hawaii International Confernece on System Sciences (HICSS). His research interests focus on organizational agility and enterprise architecture in the context digital transformation. Methodologically, he is engaged in qualitative research in general and focuses on case study research as a research strategy in particular.
